Catherine Hardy is a native Texan who attended Rhodes College in Memphis, TN and the University of Houston. She has been very politically active since high school, and has interned in the offices of elected officials on both the state and federal levels. She plans to pursue a Master's degree in public policy or public affairs. Email

Matthew Smith was born and raised in Kent, Ohio and recently moved to the village of Palatine, Illinois with his amazing girlfriend Kadi. He’s a huge sports nerd in general and loves all Cleveland sports team. His passion in life is politics, I recently had an organizing fellowship with the President Obama’s re-election campaign. He is incredibly excited to be working with The Can Kicks Back to help other young people to get involved in politics. Email
